GwMA Meeting on 06.02.2022. Berkeley Lake barbeque and the Atlanta Regional Commission

GwMA members and guests were able to join our Berkeley Lake hosts after several years of planning.  The usual first Wednesday session was moved to Thursday in order to take advantage of meeting at the Berkely Lake Chapel’s new pavilion.  A special barbeque dinner was prepared by Berkeley Lake officials and attendees were able to enjoy great weather and free boat rides provided by local residents.  Berkeley Lake has rebounded from years of dam reconstruction and more beautiful than ever.

The Atlanta Regional Commission (ARC) leadership provided an update to GwMA.  ARC Chair Kerry Armstrong spoke and then turned the presentation over to Anna Roach – ARC’s new executive director for her to share her history and plans for the commission under her leadership.

GwMA is very appreciative of Berkeley Lake’s Mayor Lois Salter, council members Scott Lee, Rodney Hammond, Chip McDaniel, Bob Smith and Rebecca Spitler and offers a special thanks to Kay Lee for her event coordination.
