GwMA Meeting 08.03.2022 The Water Tower with Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens

GwMA and Gwinnett County’s Board of Commissioners held a joint meeting featuring presentations by Chairwoman Nicole Hendrickson and special guest Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickenson.  The event was held at the recently opened Water Tower facility in Buford, Georgia.

The Water Tower, launched in 2019, is made up of two nonprofit organizations: The Water Tower at Gwinnett, responsible for the development and operations of the facility and the The Water Tower Institute that develops solutions, instruction, and engagement programming.

Chairwoman Hendrickson offered comments about “Regionalism” and the importance of Gwinnett County to the Metro Atlanta Region.  Mayor Dickens also provided comments about Gwinnett’s importance to the region and the importance of relations of the local governments.

Attendees were offered the opportunity to tour the Water Tower facility at the conclusion of the meeting.  GwMA appreciates the participation of Mayor Dickens and Chairwoman Hendrickson for this well-attended event.
